One purchase, $8K, concentrated in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, a company currently at the center of every trade war, tariff fight, and national-security conversation in Washington. Fields sits on the House Financial Services Committee. Forty-three million American workers' retirement accounts also hold TSM. Fields just made it personal.

Twelve purchases, $96K, top slot in Accenture. Newhouse sits on the House Appropriations Committee, which funds the federal contracts that keep Accenture's consulting business humming. The Venn diagram on that one is two very overlapping circles.

The Heat Index combines five inputs: (1) the 30-day forward alpha of the traded ticker versus the S&P 500, (2) the politician's committee-jurisdiction overlap with the company's sector, (3) the recency of a relevant roll-call vote, (4) the size of the disclosed trade range, and (5) the gap between trade date and disclosure date.
